The past season 1 March - 25 May
Rainfall - Above average rainfall has been experienced along Tasmania’s East with lower than average rainfall along the West.
Average Temperature - Above average temperatures experienced statewide.
Top 1m Soil Moisture - Below average and very much below average in the West while above average in the East.
Water Storage - Water catchments are at 48% below the 54% levels at this time last year.
The Predictions June - August 2022
Rainfall Outlook - Below average rainfall is predicted for the West of the state and above-average expected for the East. It is expected to be unusually wet in Tasmania’s South East.
Soil Moisture Outlook - Waterlogged soils along the east coast with average soil moisture content expected for the rest of the state.
Temperature Outlook - Above average temperatures are expected Tasmania-wide this winter with a high chance of record-breaking winter temperatures.
