As winter begins many irrigators will be packing up and preparing their machinery for spending the next few months in the shed.

Now is the perfect time to complete any maintenance and repairs to avoid downtime and costly breakdowns during the season.

For a smooth season it is recommended that RM Hard Hoses are serviced by a technician every 300hrs of operation. For most irrigators, this occurs annually.

However, there are some simple things you can do to maintain your machine between services:

Check all Grease Points

Grease the hose guide screw
Grease the drive chain and layer-winder chain
Grease the chain dog

Check the gearbox oil level
Check all bolts are tight

Tyre Nuts
Drawbar Bolts
Gearbox Mounting Bolts

Check for leaks in hydraulic lines
Check all tyres
