Our machines are also manufactured by companies that irrigation in areas with many parallels to the conditions in Tasmania. The steep slopes of Spain where the RKD has been irrigating for over 60 years are very similar to the undulating ground found throughout our state.
And the RM, from Parma in Italy, irrigates in very similar climate conditions to those in areas of Tasmanian. Situated at 45 degrees north, Parma is at a similar orientation to Tasmanian at 40- 42 degrees south. Created at the base of the Alps the RM is equipped to deal with heavy frosts and high winds, and steep slopes. It is also specially designed to irrigate irregular paddocks effectively, making it the ideal machine for Tasmanian Farmers.
