8 Steps to Effective Irrigation Design
Our process for effective irrigation design and install in Tasmania is completed in 8 steps.
You are in total control and involved in each and every one of these steps, as we believe that it is not our project but yours. Therefore before you make the decision to work with us take a look at our transparent design process and let us know if there are any changes we can make for you.
8 Steps to irrigation design:
Step 1: Tell us about your project. What outcome do you want to achieve with increased irrigation infrastructure?
Step 2: Invite us for a site inspection. Show us your farm, the site, anything that you think that could affect construction works, potential drainage issues, etc. We prefer a holistic approach to irrigation design for many reasons including drainage planning and pumping efficiencies, so tell us about your whole farm plan and future projects too.
Step 3: The preliminary design. In consultation with you, we can provide a preliminary design to suit your requirements with a basic costing estimate with an accuracy of +/- 20%. We base this figure on historical accuracy from our previous quotes. We can provide this to you completely FREE.
Step 4: Full Design and Specifications. If you are happy with your preliminary design we will then proceed to the full design stage including full specifications of pumps, pipelines, irrigators, and power supply. We will provide a full costing at this stage. To provide you with a full design and costing we will charge a fee of approximately 5% of the estimate which we will refund fully off the purchase price of the system if you engage Agline’s services for your project.
Step 5: Additional services - we can also engage technicians on your behalf to provide drainage plans or provide additional equipment such as weather stations and soil moisture monitoring services.
Step 6: Install -Upon acceptance of our design and quote we order your equipment ready for install as most irrigation equipment is custom-built by European suppliers.
Step 7: Construction - The machine components will arrive on site ready for install.
Step 8: Project completion and handover - We will fully install and commission your irrigation system. Training will be provided on how to operate the machine to you and your staff members. At this stage, we ask for the final 20% payment upon project completion.
And it doesn’t stop there…
Our objective is to provide you with a completed irrigation system that meets all your requirements and saves you time and effort.
Rest assured that if you have any further questions we will provide 3 further training sessions free of charge with our knowledgeable, local Tasmanian technicians because we understand that new systems take time to learn.
After this we are happy to provide as much further support as necessary by appointment at a reasonable hourly charge.
We also operate a full break down service statewide and pre-season maintenance for all our supplied machinery so that if in the rare event that you experience trouble we are only a phone call away no matter which corner of Tasmania you are from.
